Minecraft Wild Update

The Wild Update will be Minecraft's next major update. It's due next year.

Today's Minecraft Live event saw Mojang announce the news. This will include the delayed Deep Dark Biome – yes, the underworld Biome with the pure nightmare fuel-esque Wardens – which was originally slated to release alongside the second Caves & Cliffs updates (and we aren't yet sure when that's supposed to drop).

Here's a look at the future, with information about the rich biomes of Overworld, including mud, mangrove swamps and frogs as well as chest-equipped boats:

“Mud blocks, mangroves and mud blocks!” Frogs and Tadpoles Chests in boats The deep dark! The warden The warden! The warden! Eeeek! “The Wild Update will be coming in 2022, making swamps swampier and darker, and the outdoors more than ever before,” teases the video description that is included with the teaser.

ICYMI: Minecraft will be available on Xbox Game Pass PC next month. Minecraft PC bundle will include both Java and Bedrock versions. It will be available in one game launcher, “for the first ever”, when both editions join the Game Pass library.

PC gamers can now join their console-flavor friends on Game Pass. Mojang's fan-favorite sandbox game, Sandbox Adventure Game, has been part of the consoles game pass library since a while.

In case you were wondering what the differences are between the editions: The Java edition is best for mods experimentation, while the Bedrock edition is great for playing with friends on other consoles and platforms.
